Saturday 11 Oct Leader: Gill Finch 07977 422473, 6.5 miles
Meet for a 10 am start at the church of St Michaels & All Angels, Church Street, Newnam, postcode NN11 3ET. GR: SP 580597, OS Landranger map 152, what3words: haggling.pleaser.walls. This picturesque walk starts in the tranquil churchyard of St Michael & All Angels and passes through the pretty hamlet of little Everdon. It then follows a scenic route through open countryside to Weedon Bec (though not actually touching the village of Weedon Bec), past Dodford Mill and Newnham Lodge. The route is set in the middle of this countryside, which is gently undulating and with ever changing views. The route includes a short stretch of road walking and contains several stiles. After the walk, refreshments are available in The Romer Arms, Newnam.

Morning Walk: Meet for a 10 am start at The Wharf, Cornhill Lane, Bugbrooke, Northants, Postcode NN7 3QB, what3words. Intruded.indulgent.digital. This is a flat walk along canal paths and across fields set in beautiful countryside and the canal network. Please make your own arrangements for lunch and park with consideration for others in the village.

Morning Walk: Meet for a 10 am start outside St Mary The Virgin Church, Meadow Lane, Little Houghton, Postcode NN7 1AB, GR SP 804597, OS Explorer map 207. This is a good circular walk along field edges, farm tracks and the back lanes of Brafield. Please make your own arrangements for lunch and park with consideration for others in the village.

Sunday 2 Nov Leader: Sue Latter 07814 076423, 5 miles
Morning Walk:. Meet for a 10 am start at The Sun Inn, 6 Mill Road, Kislingbury, Postcode NN7 4BB, what3words: hInts.engine.rust. A circular walk starting in Kislingbury, via Upton Country Park and Pineham Village, returning through the park on the Nene Way. Flat and NO stiles with good footpaths for the most part. Lunch afterwards at The Sun Inn where a table has been booked for 1pm. Names to Sue ([email protected]) by FRIDAY 24 OCTOBER. Meals need to be pre-ordered. Sunday lunch menu is £18 for 2 courses.

Morning Walk: Meet for a 10 am start outside the Red Lion, Stockwell Lane, Hellidon, Daventry, Postcode NN11 6LG, GR SP 519581, OS Explorer map 206, what3words: prom.lipstick.boards. An interesting circular walk incorporating two pretty villages, quiet country lanes, pleasant woodland plus some open countryside. A small section of the walk crosses a golf course. The walk contains 4 stiles plus a little climb “over” on either end of a bridge. Please make your own arrangements for lunch and park with consideration for others in the village.
Sunday 16 Nov Leader: Patsy McCarthy 07891 833925, 7.1 miles
Park in Castle Theatre car park, Wellingborough, NN8 1XA, meeting for a 10 am start. Any problems with the car park, alternative parking is available in Swansgate, then walk to Castle car park. Parking is free in both car parks. This is a circular walk through some of the green spaces of Wellingborough and along the Nene River tow path to Wollaston Mill. From there up to Great Doddington, where we will stop for a break in the Memorial Gardens. Since the distance is 7 miles, this break will be longer than usual, bring a snack or lunch. From there we go to Wilby and then back into Wellingborough along the Croyland cycle path. It’s a varied walk, some road, but all have pavements, canal tow path, and sheep pasture fields. No stiles, but parts of the canal tow path may be muddy in winter. Please make your own arrangements for lunch if you are wishing to eat after the walk.

Morning Walk: Meet for a 10 am start at Holcot Village Hall, Back Lane, Holcot, Northampton, Postcode NN6 9SL. A pleasant circular walk from Holcot to Walgrave. Walking through Hannington and skirting the deer park along good pathways with a few slopes. Please make your own arrangements for lunch and park with consideration for others in the village. (Some parking spaces available at the village hall)
Sunday 30 Nov Leader: Jackie & Mike 07802 332104, 4 miles
Morning Walk: Meet for a 10 am start at Daventry District Golf Club, Norton Road. Daventry NN11 2LS. We have a number of spaces reserved in the car park for us. The Borough Hill walk is shorter than normal, however contains a lot of history; it has 2 stiles. We are expecting to be able to arrange a light lunch for walkers at the golf club after the walk, but will need advance notice of numbers. Further details to follow nearer the date.

Morning Walk: Meet for a 10 am start opposite The Red Lion, Main Street, East Haddon, Postcode NN6 8BU, GR SP 671683, OS Explorer map 223. A lovely circular walk winding it’s way through the countryside to Holdenby, following footpaths crossing pastures and paddocks offering extensive views over Northamptonshire. The walk contains 7 stiles. Refreshments available after the walk at The Red Lion, please make your own arrangements for lunch and park with consideration for others in the village.
