Saturday 18 July      Leader: Gill Finch          07977 422473       5.5 miles
Morning Walk: Meet for a 1000 start in the car park of The Greyhound Pub, Towcester Road, Milton Malsor, Postcode NN7 3AP, GR SP 732557, OS Explorer map 152, what3words:anchovies.heartache.puffed. This varied circular walk follows the countryside between two charming villages, Milton Malsor and Blisworth.  It contains 4 stiles and includes a stretch of towpath beside the Grand Union Canal to the Blisworth Tunnel.  The route then climbs away from the canal, leading to field paths providing fine views over the surrounding countryside.  The walk has a very short stretch of road walking.  Refreshments available after the walk at The Greyhound.

Evening Walk: Meet at 1900 hrs at The Drovers Return car park, Hunsbury Hill Country Park, Hunsbury Hill Road, Postcode NN4 9UW, what3words: vines.spoon.call. This is a meandering easy walk containing no stiles through the West Hunsbury Park and Danes Camp settlement circumnavigating the iron stone railway and onto west Hunsbury meadows (past roman villa settlements). We return to the historic Drovers pathway to the café

Morning Walk:Meet at the Red Lion, Crick, NN6 7TX, for a 10am start, as those eating will need to pre-order. We shall however be walking past Crick Post Office, if anyone not eating wishes to wait there. This is a pleasant circular walk to Yelvertoft along sections of the canal back to Crick. A table is booked for 1pm at the Red Lion. Book with Sue ([email protected]) by Friday 17th July.  For those eating, park in the pub car park and order before setting off on the walk this also includes anyone not walking, but planning to eat, Sue will contact them for their orders. Please park with consideration of others in the village.

Evening Walk: Meet at 1900 hrs at The Saracens Head, Main Street, Little Brington, Northampton, Postcode NN7 4HS, GR SP 663637, what3words: lighten.stag.central. This is mainly a flat walk containing only 2 stiles. During the walk we visit the sister villages of Little and Great Brington including the hamlet of Nobottle. We also pass the imposing Althorp House. At the end of the walk we have the possibility for a drink in the pub.

Morning Walk: Meet for a 1000 hrs start at the Barley Mow, 53 High Street, Paulerspury, Towcester, Postcode NN12 7NA, GR SP 718455, OS Landranger map 152. A countryside walk through a mixture of open farmland and woodland, along footpaths, bridleways and farm tracks. We will pass by Whittlebury deer park, once a royal hunting forest, and where you can see many ancient oak trees. We will also pass Sholebrook Lodge, a listed building, once the home of the deputy warden of the Whittlewood Forest.  Please park with consideration for others in the village and make your own arrangements for lunch.

Morning Walk: Meet for a 1000 hrs start at The Cock Inn. 1 High Street, Roade, Postcode NN7 2NW, OS Landranger map 152, what3words: intricate.launched recorder. An easy circular walk via wind turbines to Hartwell. We return via part of the Northamptonshire Round, skirting Ashton, using grass tracks with a short stretch of road walking; the walk contains only 3 stiles.  Table booked for 1pm at The Cock Inn.  Book with Sue ([email protected]) by 31 July.  Pre ordering required and Sue will obtain the menu the week before. Please park with consideration for others in the village.

Wednesday 12 August     Leader: Graham Pickard        07708 223343        3 – 4 miles
Evening Walk: Meet at 1900 hrs off the Bedford Road as you turn right and right again towards Northampton Water Centre; this road offers good parking. The nearest Postcode is NN4 7YB. GR SP 777595, OS Explorer map 223 and what3words: envy.trees.drop. A gentle walk containing 2 stiles following footpaths to Brackmills Country Park, skirting the edge of the park to connect with the disused railway line leading towards Great Houghton. We will walk down through Great Houghton, across A428 then walk across the fields to The Washlands. Finally we make our way back along the Washland edge to the Water Centre and cars. Do not park in the Britannia pub car park as this is restricted; fines are hefty!

Morning Walk: Meet for a 1000 hrs start at The Heart of England Pub, High Street, Weedon, Postcode NN7 4QD, GR SP 630599, OS Explorer map 223, what3words: help.inspects.forever. Meet on the pavement in front of the pub car park. From here we will follow the towpath from Weedon to Nether Heyford. Leaving the towpath, we make our way across fields to the A5, crossing the A5 we follow the road to Church Stowe. After a short stop we make our way across fields to pick up the towpath for the return to Weedon. The walk contains 1 x bridge stile. Please park with consideration within the village and make your own arrangements for lunch.

Afternoon Walk: Meet for a 1300 hrs start at the entrance to Harlestone Firs, Harlestone Road, Northampton, Postcode NN5 6UJ, GR SP 71125 63693, OS Explorer map 223, what3words: spends.fans.heave.The walk includes woodland, pretty cottages and an ornamental lake. We follow field paths to Harlestone Firs, the picturesque villages of Lower Harlestone with ever changing views to Upper Harlestone. Before walking back, we stop at St Andrews Church where tea and homemade cake is available to purchase; bring cash/card for your purchase! If the temperature is hot we will have a couple of brief water stops however the main break will be at the church. The walk contains 3 stiles. There is a layby outside the garden centre for parking.

Saturday 29 August      Leader: David Park        07914 308418       5.75 miles
Morning Walk: Meet for a 1000 hrs start at All Saints Church, School Lane, Harpole, Postcode  NN7 4DJ, OS Explorer map 223, what3words: gallons.rams.feels. We walk towards Harlestone then turn south west towards Nobottle, skirting Yewtree Spinney and Nobottle Wood; then head back via Harpole Covert. The walk has no stiles and contains a small amount of road walking on minor roads. Please park with consideration within the village and make your own arrangements for lunch.
